Terracotta Voile d'Ete was created in 1999 by Jean-Paul Guerlain as a limited edition fragrance.  The name "Terracotta Voile d'Ete" translates to Summer Veil in English, and it is meant to invoke an abstract idea of summer.   Terracotta Voile d'Ete is a beautiful and highly underrated and not often discussed fragrance that focuses on a softly spicy carnation note.  It has trademark Guerlain-esque qualities but it is a bit less sweet and is an utterly unique and fun fragrance with notes of iris, carnation, ylang ylang and vanilla.  Terracotta Voile d'Ete is an eau de toilette / edt.
