L'Eau Trois, is one of my
favorite fragrances. It contains notes of myrrh,
myrtle, oregano, cistus, pine, laurel, thyme, and rosemary.
Diptyque describes it as “the resinous scent of aromatic shrubs from the mountainous
coastline of Northern Greece.”
It begins powerfully, then quickly dissipates to a dry, resinous myrrh (that gets sweeter
the longer you wear it), with a hint of pine. The other herbal notes come and
go quickly, but myrrh is the main act.
L’Eau Trois stays close to the skin but the
lasting power is very good.
It is now sadly discontinued and becoming scarce.
