Bandit was the first fragrance release from Parisian fashion designer Robert Piguet. The leather chypre was created by perfumer Germaine Cellier and launched in 1944.
The original Bandit was eventually discontinued, then re-formulated and re-launched in 1999 by perfumer Delphine Lebeau of Givaudan.
Guy Robert called Bandit a "beautiful but brutal perfume"and that rather sums it up nicely. Bandit is not a fragrance for
the timid.
Bandit starts with heavy green notes, and moves slowly into a
floral blend with hints of spice, but the leather is apparent
from the start, and as it dries down, an earthy-mossy
accord asserts itself. Overall it is decidedly animalic. Absolutely unisex, equally sexy on men and women. Notes: neroli, orange, ylang ylang, galbanum, jasmine, tuberose,
rose, carnation, leather, vetiver, oakmoss, patchouli and musk.
Scent category: Woody/Mossy Oriental with lots of leather
