Encre Noir is an excellent “clean” woody vetiver. It is sheer, fresh, green, woody and
crisp. A must for lovers of vetiver.
Encre Noir was created by Nathalie Lorson. It’s said that Encre Noir uses two different
kinds of vetiver (Bourbon & Haitian), along with cypress, woods and musk.
Encre Noir is not the citrus, zesty sort of vetiver like
Guerlain Vetiver nor is it the intensely earthy, rooty, hazy vetiver like
Frederic Malle’s Vetiver Extraordinaire.
Encre Noir finds a middle ground between these two.
