Un Matin d Orage is the newest fragrance from Annick
Goutal. Launched in early 2009, Un Matin
d Orage was created by perfumer Isabelle Doyen.
According to the Annick Goutal website, the fragrance is
"meant to channel the ambiance of a Japanese garden after a storm.” And, after we sniffed this lovely scent, the
emphasis surely is on the word “storm.”

“The idea is to imagine yourself in a Japanese garden — not a Buddhist
Zen-type place, but a real garden with lots of greenery — and smell the plants,
leaves and white flowers after a storm as the sun creates a scented mist.”
Notes are listed as: Sicilian
lemon, perilla leaves, ginger, magnolia, jasmine sambac, champaca and sandalwood.
